MEPcontent updates a series of Product Line Sheets (PLS) this week, introducing a new functionality: direct insight into current trade information.
By expanding manufacturer-specific delivery programs in PLS format on MEPcontent with GTIN (Global Trade Item Number) and GLN (Global Location Number) information, a direct link can be made to external databases. MEP engineers can thus directly request trade information for 3D objects, such as price and inventory, in a BIM project.
The following Product Line Sheets have been updated this week:
• Aldes Terminal
• Vortice
• Axis Communications
• Wieland Cable Codes
• Wieland Electrical Codes
This is how MEPcontent meets the market demand for providing engineers with current product and marketing information from the first stage in the design process. The steps from design to realization of a BIM project can be made even more quickly and efficiently with this functionality.
Stabicad users with MEPcontent Subscription can import the PLS with GTIN/GLN data into Revit and AutoCAD.

Grundfos chooses MEPcontent for publication of BIM content

Grundfos, one of the world's leading pump manufacturers, has published its products on MEPcontent. Circulation pumps from various series are now available for every MEP engineer on MEPcontent.
Originally a Danish company, Grundfos produces more than 16 million pump units a year and is currently represented in 55 countries. A number of their most frequently used pumps have recently been placed on MEPcontent.com. There are 18 Revit Families available, which all contain many types. A total of over 420 types is available, divided in the following series: MAGNA1, MAGNA3, TPE2, TPE2D, TPE3, and TPE3D.
BIM content for global MEP engineers
The addition of a well-known brand like Grundfos is proof that MEPcontent.com is known throughout the world as the BIM content portal for MEP. Grundfos recognizes the need and desire of the installation engineer to increasingly be able to engineer in BIM and Revit. That's why Grundfos has chosen the standard that aligns with the needs of Grundfos and its users. Making the first series of pumps available is the precursor to more Grundfos content being added to MEPcontent throughout the coming year.

Ubbink extends its product range on MEPcontent for the purpose of the exhibition VSK 2016.
The Air Excellent system has been extended with new distribution boxes with 8 or 16 connections. In addition, there's a new universal mounting bracket which can be used for the fixation of flexible Air Excellent ducts.
For the Kompakt 2.0 new types have been added. Some of them have extended connecting pipes.
